APPEARANCE

Leon stands at roughly 178cm (5'10"), with a sculpted but lean frame. He is fair-skinned with a healthy glow, able to tan slightly in summer months though not too drastically. His hair is a soft shade of blond, and falls around his face in loose, wispy curls. His eye color is light blue. Due to his service as a knight, he also possesses certain grace and good posture. With his chest forward and shoulders back, while speaking, he often gestures with his hands. Every now and then one's perception of him may be intercepted by an occasional clumsy reaction or a clearing of his throat, but overall, Leon looks like he stepped right out of a Baroque painting.

FASHION

As Ayami Kojima's work designing Castlevania characters usually incorporates themes of historical European clothing, fantasy, and Visual kei, Leon's fashion sense falls under that umbrella simply because of the world he lives in. While he isn't particularly nit-picky or hyper conscious of fashion, he tends to dress himself like most chivalrous male characters would (think Phantom of the Opera's Rauol or Dracula's Jonathan Harker). Because of his franchise, these looks always have a slight, gothic touch whether they be implemented directly in the details (studs, leather, intricate accessories) or by his surroundings (lighting, nature). In terms of his personal approach to fashion, he is the kind of person who doesn't think to shop for a new wardrobe often— he'd rather reuse existing clothing as long as he can afford to.

DEMEANOR

Confident, diligent. and easily liked, Leon carries himself with the dignity of having realized who he is, what he stands for, and what purpose he's decided he should serve. He naturally comes off as someone very trustworthy and dependable, due to his sincere and compassionate nature. Always quick to volunteer, his work ethic is apparent by how busy he likes to keep himself. He is a good and loyal friend to have, with the wellbeing of others always on his mind. This chivalry is most definitely a source of his popularity. He does, however, every now and then come off as obtuse to the intricacies of other people— sarcasm isn't always read, jokes don't always land... frankly, he's fairly simple-minded. While he's aware of the presence of said behaviorisms (irony, lying etc.), he doesn't always suspect them or understand why they're used in the place of being upfront. Because of this, he often falls victim to them without even knowing.

VOICE

With Nobutoshi Canna and Dave Wittenberg as his Japanese and English voice actors respectively, Leon's voice in both versions is heard as clear and articulate, with a slight, throaty texture. His vocal range classifies him musically as a baritone. While his vocabulary hasn't the expanse of the most literate people of his land, he possesses a vocal inflection gained from the upper classes of nobility, who taught him the manners of the high-class once he was knighted in his teenage years. A blend of both the simplicity of the working class and the intricacies of those above it.

OLFACTORY

When he isn't fighting throbbing, putrid giants or fire breathing penis monsters, he smells outdoorsy— like woods, campfire and sunlight, due to his own inability to sit around inside unpreoccupied. Given a rarer day of lavishing in the wonders of his village, he's more likely to smell like red wine and a faint cologne he remembered to wear that morning, or sometimes like the smoke of roasted meat in a dining hall. The bottoms of his shoes almost always smell like horse shit and hay. Generally speaking, he tries to stay as clean as he can in spite of a very hands-on lifestyle.
